This design uses 3 classic literary works as the theme create 2 separate 

series with completely different styles.

 

For the 1st version, repeating patterns with colour contrasts are used to show the historical nature of the 3 books. It creates particular styles, cohesiveness and hierarchy structures. Different from the version, it gives a literature vibe for the art direction by flat patterns.

For the 2nd version, balancing, contrasting composition are applied in the design. Realistic images are used to give a vivid and concrete impression for the story content.
